At Soulo, you can create an online memorial account for your loved ones.
Then create around the memorial a whole community of different family and friends (Circles) that will help commemorate them in the most personal and dignified way.
You and those in your Circles can add content to your commemorations such as photos, videos, memories and more, which will memorialize the story of your loved one for generations to come.
Our intention for the apps is that they will be the first version of a digital memorialization platform to celebrate and commemorate the lives of friends, family and loved ones.
Soulo is a digital commemorative platform that includes a high level of collaboration to ensure a full remembrance of all our loved ones.
An original profile on Soulo will either be public of private, where only those invited to view can see the commemorative details.
We know Soulo still needs a lot of work and we are keen to receive feedback to improve both the interface and features over time.
As Benjamin Franklin said in 1789: “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”
Over the last few decades, one other fact has crept up on us: The internet will outlive us all.
As a result, our digital footprint will outlast our physical beings.
It is abundantly clear that the tools and ideas for online memorialization have not yet been established in a widespread manner.
The motivation for building Soulo came from the fact that the major social media websites only cater for the living, rather than those that have passed away.
It has also become obvious that in the 21st century, to fully memorialize someone, it is a collaborative effort with numerous contributions to gain a full understanding of each person’s legacy and achievements.
We all have numerous pictures and videos on our devices of any single person.
At Soulo we believe that celebrating loved ones is a communal effort.
The objective is to memorialize and remember in a manner that will tell life stories of loved ones for generations to come.
